DashCommand - An Alternative to Scangauge

Which of those would work for transmission temp? None of the ones on that page seem to be for oil/transmission temps. Apologize in advance if I am missing something, I am kind of new to the whole Scanguage/OBDII app game

Best brand of inline transmission filter

General consensus from most of the posts I've read seem to be that Magnafine is the way to go for an inline transmission filter, but seeing as no one around me stocks the Magnafines and I need one today, is there a comparable brand that is easier to find at a Auto parts store? I was looking into...

    Transmission Filter & Question...

At what point in the trans lines did you install the filter? Would love to see a pic of your setup if you took any, haven't ran the lines to my cooler yet and would like to do so with placement of the filter in mind as everything is pretty tight in there

DashCommand - An Alternative to Scangauge

So just to be clear after reading through this thread, DashCommand does not read transmission temps for '99s, correct? Has anyone been able to find an IOS app that does? or is Torque for android my only option? Have an android phone, but was thinking of mounting my tablet or my old Iphone 4...

    Transmission Filter & Question...

Also, any recommendations for specific brands of transmission fluid? Was planning on just picking up 2 gallons of Valvoline Maxlife DEX/MERC for $36 at my local autozone, but would be open to spending a few more bucks if there is something I could get that would give significantly better...

    Transmission Filter & Question...

Does anyone know if any of the national auto parts chains (O'Reilly, Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts, etc) carry in-line transmission filters, similar to the Magnaflow ones I see everyone recommending? I did some searching on google but could only seem to find the internal filter replacement...

Looking for help in Columbia or Charleston SC (Radiator swap/tranny cooler)

Poleclimber, what additional steps are required to install a temp gauge and what kind of cost does that add to the project? Would be nice to keep an eye on things especially as the summers down here get pretty intense (it's already been in the 90s all week!). Also, if I am understanding most...

Looking for help in Columbia or Charleston SC (Radiator swap/tranny cooler)

Thanks for the advice, after doing some research decided to go with the B&M 70264 on amazon for 63.32 with free prime shipping, which offers just a tad more cooling than the 70268 and still comes with the hardware/mounting kit (the 72066 was just the cooler, with all the ties and hoses sold...

Looking for help in Columbia or Charleston SC (Radiator swap/tranny cooler)

Hey guys Still kind of new to the forum, but I was hoping someone here might be able to help me. Just bought my '99 4runner 2.7 4cyl a couple of weeks ago and just hit my first maintenance snag/oppertunity... Radiator has a major leak and its time for a new one. Already bought the new one but...

Just picked up my first 4runner...

Hi everyone! After several weeks of craigslist hunting and lurking here and over at yotatech, I've found a replacement for my dearly departed Jeep XJ (say what you will about build quality but that 4.0 was bulletproof), I settled on a %100 stock '99 4Runner with the 2.7l 4cyl engine and...
