oh thanks I'll check that right away! I didn't notice that my tails were out until last night... but my interior lights have been out a while. I read something about not wiring my cd player illumination light to the stock wire because the polarity is reversed, and that causing the dimmer...

I have the same problem... no tail lights, and no dash illumination behind the gauges or on my heater control panel. Anyone know what the solution was? fried dimmer switch??

It sounds like probably a ground loop, sounds like you may have used the same ground as your AC electronics. I would definitely check that first. Maybe clean up the area around whatever you used, or try another spot.

anyone have any ideas at all? I took apart the dash again.. checked everything, even put it all back to stock with the amp again to see if it was anything funny with the wiring. I got the clock to work now,one of the wires just worked itself loose I guess while I was cramming everything back...

You've got it right, you should find a suitable ground, close to wherever you are mounting the amp... find the appropriate fitting to clamp/solder on the end of the wire and away you go. Same for the positive lead to the battery, or you can pick up a new multi-ouput battery terminal, which are...
