The trans coolers is a for towing,the radiator still cools to, the dealer says the core goes bad. A new radiator vs a new Trans is the problem? They said they done a lot of 4th gen 4 runners.

That makes me happy that is a 3rd gen problem more than a 4th gen,like to save the money.

The dealer told me that the 04 4runner radiators go at 15000 miles like clock work, and if the coolant goes in the tranny big dollars to fix or it go the other way tranny fluid in the radiator not as bad. They say to change the radiator, just wanted to know if this is a common problem or a scam.
