Dobinsons Suspension - 4th Gen Options

Would you recommend changing out the rear CS59-705 shocks, when changing the springs to either of your recommendations? What approx height would I expect to see out of the 677V as they are setup for constant 400lb weight? Would i see approx 2" out of the C59-327's? Would you also consider the...

Dobinsons Suspension - 4th Gen Options

Bouncy Dobinsons front end Hey Mike. I've got a puzzle for you. I had heard lots of good things about Dobinsons so I decided to give them a try. The setup that I went with was recommended by your guys @ Dobinsons Direct. The issue I'm having is that the front end feels very bouncy, with an...

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Cleaned the MAF Sensor and throttle body (front & back). The front side of the throttle body needed a little cleaning, while the back side was pretty filthy. The 4Runner was running good before, but it definitely runs better now!

    5th Gen 4Runner Brakes Upgrade (for 4th Gen 4Runner)

I appreciate the response. Probably time for extended brake lines anyways. Definitely NOT going to use 5th gen rotors for the rear!

    5th Gen 4Runner Brakes Upgrade (for 4th Gen 4Runner)

Is it required to get new brake lines when upgrading the 4th Gen 4Runner to the 5th Gen calipers? Or just an opportunity to install better brake lines?

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Needed new lower ball joints, so I changed out the lower control arms with new OEM ones. Now I've got new LCA, lower ball joints, and bushings. The passenger side was a breeze, while the driver side was a PIA...I did manage to get out the frozen sleeve in the bushing, without doing any damage...

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Did the rear sway bar link upgrade, changing over to the 2nd Gen 4Runner 1" longer links. I went with the Proforged ones. Also changed the bushings on the links to Energy Suspension, and changed out the rear sway bar bushings while I was at it. Waiting on the correct front sway bar bushings to...

Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

The spare tire in the pick is mounted to a Hitchgate Solo High Clearance Swing out tire carrier. The tire carrier was well built, and worked great for the full sized spare. That being said, I found using the tire carrier and my bike rack at the same time to be a PIA, so I sold the tire carrier...
