Hi, can anyone tell me what the servo in the photo does (assuming it is a servo)? I isolated a buzzing sound to this part, and I can't figure out its function. It sits just below the feet/face/defrost servo. I unplugged it, but can't tell that anything has changed (other than the noise going...

I'm about to do a complete suspension refresh on our 2004 -- UCA/LCA bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, springs, shocks, etc. My current thinking is to just remove it all and then reassemble, but would it be easier/smarter to R&R one piece at a time? Thoughts?

I've searched a bunch and can't find out if the driver seat on my '06 is serviceable. It makes a loud rubbing noise when I move it forward or backward, like it needs to be greased. It's not a popping or grinding sound like I've read about in other threads. Is it possible to service these...

^^ Yeah, I'm not sure I would hire a dealer who botched an oil change to install a supercharger.

No longer looking. Ended up finding a sport wheel with brand new rubber for $40 on CL. Sometimes you just get lucky.

Looking for a wheel to use as a spare -- any 17" steel wheel should work, either from an FJ, Tacoma, or the 5th gen factory spare. Preferably in the DFW area.

Set of FIVE 18" 4Runner Limited Wheels. All are in excellent shape. 4 center caps included, but one is cracked. Prefer local sale, but will consider shipping (I don't have a clue what it would cost).

Ok, here are some before/after shots (sorry, crappy iPhone pics). Like I mentioned above, I gained exactly 2" in the front and 1/4" in the rear. There is still a slight rake, but I didn't want it to be completely level -- so I'm very pleased with the look and more importantly, the ride.

I know nothing about this repair, but why wouldn't you get a couple more bids? It wouldn't cost you a penny and you'll go into it with more knowledge.

Love this topic. So... does this only apply to spacers or to other things "inside" the coil over, like adjustments on the 5100 shocks or different spring lengths?
