You might be over thinking this one. Thermostat is installed in the correct position, you have heat, temperature seems to be normal and no air bleeding out of the cooling system... I think you've got it. They're a pretty simple coolant circuit, so don't over think if you don't need to!

Update for 04/29: Replaced the windshield last week. Was needed as it had seen better days. While I had it at the glass shop, I had them pop the front windows out and give them some tint. Things look muchly improved! I also finished my LED retrofit, so we've got some clean, crisp 6000K white...

I picked up a $200 update courtesy of a co-worker who put some TRD Pro's on his 5th Gen. I was unsure of how the SR5 wheels would look, but they seem to work. If I can sell my old Sport wheels for a couple of dollars it may be a break even.

...That reminds me as well. Today was more 4th gen love than 3rd gen love but the '99 got a little wipe-down with the 'ol 303. More parts en route so perhaps I'll take the studded winter tires off and swap over in case I need a backup.

I had some 5100's come in last week along with some Moog tall's. I need to figure out what I'm doing with the front for suspension as I ordered a set of TRD-Faux wheels in Gunmetal. They're pretty decent with one minor casting flaw in all four of the wheels. Time to go tire shopping!

Today I brought the '99 out of the garage. Gave both the '03 and '99 a quick wash now that it's slightly warmer. I also ordered a set of TRD Faux wheels in gunmetal. We'll see what they're all about when they show up later this week. Time to start planning the suspension refresh I suppose!
