I'm also not a fan of the 24F. I've been buying the 27 and replacing every 4th or 5th fall without any problems. Yes, I know they will probably go longer but, it's not a daily and I like have a fresh battery.

Gosh, wish I had a Costco here. I would have taken that deal. The group 31 battery above, does that require a different battery tray? The 27F is a perfect fit on mine. Wouldn't mind one of those next.

Just put in a 27F battery from Toyota this morning. Seems to be quite zippy now. Was wondering what everyone is doing for a battery these days. It's got 710CCA for 147 bucks. Seems nice enough for me. I don't do anything special.

I agree. My 2008 just turned 50k miles and the paint on the front bumper and hood started peeling off. It's at the shop getting all the upper surfaces sprayed.

That's a great warranty oldboy. That seals it. I have like two more years on these tires. Will definitely replace them when the new tires go on. Thanks everyone

The X2 Power 27f looks quite interesting to me. 5 year, non prorated warranty and 10% off at Batteries +. I bought at the dealer in late 2017, so I'm not ready yet. Think I'll try it a few years from now.

Was thinking that I would do the head unit and the front door speakers first then, rear speakers and a rear camera after the first half of the job is paid off.

Thought 10 years was a nice number. There are plenty of people that carry new hoses and a refill for emergencies. Didn't think I wanted to do that. Thought just replacing the hoses and fresh coolant would be enough for me.

I dropped mine at the shop while I was on vacation. Had the brakes done, belt and radiator hoses. The new hoses are SO much softer than what came off. Was wondering about the heater core hoses. Has anybody had one fail yet? I'm at ten years old now and wondering how much further I should let...

I believe that life is short. If a few upgrades to an otherwise mechanically sound truck will being you happiness, go for it. My only advice is to keep, say a grand in savings somewhere to help lessen the burden if something expensive comes up.
