so will a lockrite for the rear axle work in the front axle?

I have an 89 toyota pickup ext cab. When I bought it, it had a 4" lift and 33" tires. I didn't/don't know much about tricking out a 4x4, but I thought lockers would be awesome. I found some Lock Rite lockers that would fit my ifs. Good news is I got them fairly cheap, bad news is they ripped up...
