I have an 89 toyota pickup ext cab. When I bought it, it had a 4" lift and 33" tires. I didn't/don't know much about tricking out a 4x4, but I thought lockers would be awesome. I found some Lock Rite lockers that would fit my ifs. Good news is I got them fairly cheap, bad news is they ripped up my front end, what a waste of money. I know have goals for doing a SAS and installing some manual lockers. I bought an 82 donor truck that even came with an extra front axle. I also plan on doubling the transfercase using the donors transfercase, just need more money.
Heres my question for doing the SAS: How much stuff can be used off of the donor truck besides the axle, as far as steering and brakes? I have the bracket and gusets for mounting the leaf springs, but thats it. I would love any advice anyone would care to share. I'll poke around reading whar I can and hopefully I can learn what I need. I wish I had a fat bank roll so I could just have all this professionally done:violin:haha
