Thanks Hairbear. I have the cams and the crank alligned, just the white marks off by a couple of teeth. I thought it would be ok, just didn't know if I was missing something.

Is it imperitive that the marks (dots, RCAM, LCAM...) be alligned with the marks on the engine? I installed a new timing belt on the crank pulleythen put the ps pulley, cover... back on without checking the marks. It seems like it wouldn't matter but I don't know. please help

Is it worth it to pay $200 as opposed to $25 for MLS head gaskets? The 3.0 V6 in the 4runner uses a steel block with aluminum heads and is notorious for blowing head gaskets. Is the best way to combat the dissimilar metals with a MLS head gasket? I'm thinking of using the set made by LC...
