I visited my Toyota dealer yesterday and answered part of my own forum question. The original system in the 2005 4Runner is the E7006. It was replaced by the E7008 in mid year. :bigok:

Does anyone know which Denso model was original equipment for a 2005 4 Runner Limited wth JBL audio? I would like to put one in and see a model E 7006 and E 7001 on E-bay for good prices. Is this the correct model? Will newer models work, and is there any advantage to a newer model?
