OEMvalue.com has some great instructions and links that should tell you most of what you need to know. I would also obtain a Toyota factory service manual from your dealer to help with the dash disassembly. I am finishing up with the installation of an E7005 in my 2005 Limited, and it is going...
I am installing an E7005 unit in my 2005 4Runner Limited. I have a question for anyone who has a 2005 4Runner with this unit factory installed: Did your unit come with a microphone and voice commands enabled from the factory? I cannot determine from other posts online whether or not this unit...
I am in the process of installing a Denso E7005 unit in my 2005 4Runner with factory JBL. I believe that the original factory unit for 2006 is the Denso E7008. These are hard to find on ebay, but you might post an ad in the classified section of this forum. It took me a year to find a E7005...

I visited my Toyota dealer yesterday and answered part of my own forum question. The original system in the 2005 4Runner is the E7006. It was replaced by the E7008 in mid year. :bigok:
Does anyone know which Denso model was original equipment for a 2005 4 Runner Limited wth JBL audio? I would like to put one in and see a model E 7006 and E 7001 on E-bay for good prices. Is this the correct model? Will newer models work, and is there any advantage to a newer model?
