I want to order the TRD pads for my 5th gen but me and my local parts guy seem very confused.
I al looking at PTR09-89110. My parts guy says that is only for up to 2010 and no one seems to know if it is front AND rear or only rear? I’ve seen online stores that list it as rear, but pictures...
Long story short... My cousin ran into a broken plastic coolant elbow on his 2016ish F150 left him stranded on the beaches of OBX. It got me thinking I guess new cars arnt immune to brake downs.
Anyhow, I was at Lowes and noticed small tool kits. What would some basic tools and wrench/socket...
OMG Yes!!! I cannot say it enough! It should be a sticky on every forum!
Put something on these bolts, neverseeze, oil, anything... they will rust and snap off if you live somewhere where corrosion is a problem... Ask me how I know.. lol.
Ive researched the power bleeders for Toyotas and seems the general consensus is they aren't worth the time. Apparently no one makes a pressure cap, only a "universal" type and it is finicky.
I do remember reading somewhere the bleed procedure being deferent than what we have all been taught...
I am going from a 265/70 to a 255/75 on my 5th gen. Just wondering what tire pressure I need to run and what is the lowest I should air down to for sand/beach? I think I run 38 cold and air down to 15 on the beach.
Obviously I can't go by what the manufacture recommends. Vehicle is 4750lbs with...
Sorry for being late to the party. I just got a set of LFD crossbars and found this tread looking for ideas. Just a FYI, if you’re going to use lifting eyes I don’t think they are rated to sideload like in the picture. Grated the tension from a basic Home Depot ratchet tie down probably isn’t...
I am currently dealing with the same issue on my 2018 with 40k miles. It is at the dealership now. Long story short I received the repair quote yesterday. They are wanting to replace the spring with part number 48131-35650.
When I checked that part number it covers all model 4Runners. Kind of...
Recently I’ve experienced the dreaded Bilstein spring break on my 2018 Pro at 40k miles.
I am currently doing some speedy research trying to figure out a plan B.
One option I am thinking is a MRR setup. I plan to keep it OEM Pro height, which is +1 over other models, in the front only.
I...
Thanks for the info. I kind of had something happen that is going to change potential plans. The dreaded trd pro spring crack.
I put a call in to Toyota HQ and filled a official vehicle issue complaint or whatever they call it.
I was strongly urged to have my local dealership do a diagnostic...
Crunching the numbers to see if this setup will work for me. On paper it should.
Curious how it’s going to look.
If you have pics of -12 or mid - offset on 255/75s please share.
Thanks
I am creeping up on 40k miles on my 2018 Pro. My stock Nittos are getting awfully loud and its almost time to replace them. I really want to go to a 285 and small lift to clear that tire.
3 years ago my research was narrowed down to BP51s but I've recently read about some rust issues with the...
Hey group, I am selling a Pedal Commander PC27. I was using it in my 2018 Pro but recently purchased a new vehicle.
It works great and I really like the app control. You could completely hide it out of the way and still adjust settings.
Their site says it works on 2010+ all models with 4.0...
I use a Smittybuilt air compressor. It come in a nice fitted bag that also holds the hose, air chuck and some fittings.
Ive seen people use dual batt trays to mount this exact compressor under the hood similar to the ARB.
I am more curious if there is a small tool box or plastic tote that...
