I love my softtopper. It folds all the way back like a convertable and or the sides can be rolled up like a bikini top. It very easy to assemble with no moding or drilling. Outstanding product. Even have my 4runner on their web site. lol

My 85 4runner engine temp is anywhere from 200 to 218 degrees depending on the temp down here in Florida and how hard I'm driving it. As far as I know everything is perfectly operational on the coolant system. New coolant, tstat, hoses, radiator holds pressure and it looks very clean inside. So...

Yeah it's normal for a bit of drag from disk brakes. No drag though for is normal. My drivers side lever that goes into the drum brake is seized up so I'll be doing the same thing soon too. I just replaced the front brake cable which was very easy

Ok if it is the driveshaft were talkin about you won't be able to slide or move the 2 pieces. That will only happen when the the suspension flexes. It's fine
