There is a window that you can look through to inspect under the car where the transmission bolts up. They get pretty loud, you are probably fine unless you can here it getting cranky. Use Toyota OEM ONLY!

Hi guys, Love my 3rd gen, but looking for more storage ideas. I have slept in my car many times, I do not want to build a shelf in the back as this will make it impossible to sleep in it. I am thinking about building shelving on top of the wheel wells possibly, anyone done something like that...
