    Towing MPG

I tow an EDGE M21 (approx. wt. 4K) with my 07 V6 4x2, and according to the computer my MPA drops from around 21 to 12. I haven't actually computed anything yet as most of my drives are fairly short.

    Towing (revisited)

So far, so good. Ridged and CJ3Flyr--just wanted to update you on my towing experiences so far with my 07 V6 and the new EDGE M21. As I said earlier the car has a frame mounted hitch and I'm using an Equalizer brand WDH. The trailer comes in at around 4K pounds including the hitch tongue, and...

    Towing (revisited)

Good for '07 V6 2WD? CJ3Flyr--do you know if the numbers on this chart are good for an '07 V6 T4R?

    Towing question/help

Thanks, Jetboy. I'm planning on doing the WD hitch with sway control.

    Towing question/help

Back on track I hate to put an end to everyone's digressions off my original question asking for help in determining if I did indeed have the "V8" hitch on my "V6" (I have since ascertained that I do have a frame mounted hitch). Anyway we have decided to go with a Heartland EDGE M21 TT for our...

    Towing question/help

Hitch question Okay, here's another question. I've looked at various posts/blogs and this is what I see. The standard hitch on the V6 was attached to the crossmember in the rear of the vehicle, and apparently the little "cutouts" on the bumper were for that. The V8, however, used a...

    Towing question/help

Yes, the one I'm looking at is the 24' Elkmont, but the Trailmanor website lists the tongue weight at 320 lbs. I do use a sway control already with my popup, but unless I'm missing something the tongue weight seems to be within limits. As for the additional weight with options like A/C and...

    Towing question/help

I'm thinking of upgrading from my current camping vehicle (2004 Fleetwwod Tacoma popup) to a Trailmanor Elkmont trailer. I've had no problem towing the popup with my 2007 SR5 V6, but was wondering about the Trailmanor. Dry weight is around 2500 lbs. I have/use an electric brake controller and...

    Electrical question

I just purchased an '07 4Runner (V6, 2WD) to tow my recently gotten pop-up camper. The vehicle has the tow package installed, but when I went to plug in the lights for the camper--nothing. I was using a 4 pin (on the camper) to a 7 wire adapter. Is is possible for the fuse to be blown for the...
