I just purchased an '07 4Runner (V6, 2WD) to tow my recently gotten pop-up camper. The vehicle has the tow package installed, but when I went to plug in the lights for the camper--nothing. I was using a 4 pin (on the camper) to a 7 wire adapter. Is is possible for the fuse to be blown for the trailer socket on the car? The lights on the camper were working when I towed it to my house using another vehicle.

It's possible. Check the underhood fuse block located right behind the battery.

On the 3rd gens, there was a rash of failures of the OE trailer light converter although I never had an issue with my 4th gen. If it's not the fuse AND if you're out of warranty, replace the OE converter with your own. They're relatively inexpensive.

Yep, a 7 to 4 adapter cost me $4 at Wally World last month. My 4R original had gone bad.
