I appreciate all the responses. I have checked for touchless car washes, few and far between. I will take it to a trusted collision place, they might be able to say what it is and recommend a detailer. The story isn't over yet.

I'll be taking this for evaluation at a collision shop soon. Detailer sounds like a good idea, I would need to find a reliable one. I have to get this addressed before the cold weather its. I've used car washes over the years, never had this happen before.

No, they are tough to touch, can't really scratch them off. I'll try a few other things to get them off.

I'm also gonna take it to a shop and see if there is a revelation there.

Mileage Update Recently finished a 1400 mile round trip. The first leg was 350 miles, exclusively expressway driving, the math resulted in 21 mpg.

Mileage Just drove 350 miles all expressway, 68-72 mph, 21 mpg. Decent. Also, just filled up the tank. The dash cruise range has always shown in the high 300's, with this fill up it indicates in the low 400's.

Here's what I just got back from a shop. The one on the left is installed correctly, and doesn't move around at all. The right was the problem one, hanging down after the installer apparent broke a tab or something. Another shop ordered a bracket, but you can see it is now installed upside...
