Mine failed about 6 months ago. Best deal I could find was a place in Florida. $750 for the rebuilt unit, and they credit you back $150 when you return the core. Got my Mech to install for another $250. Just under a Grand for the fix. Alot better than the dealer.

SO, Scott maybe you could answer my question about using the original TPMS sensors since you have a 2006 Sport also. What did you do?

I was reading the info that came with the Pro wheels, says tpms needs to be 20 degree kind. I'm hoping the ones in my original sport rims will work. Mine was manufactured 11/05 also.

I like the OP's set-up, however being new to my '06 sport v6 which has the XREAS working good with no leaks, I'm going to have to wait till it wears out. my question is why the FJ springs, could I use the OEM's with the 5100's

This problem has my wife freaking, Out of the blue she has no brakes or very little. Never know when it's going to happen. I don't drive the thing enough to have it happen to me. Replacement units look a little pricey. Are these things prone to fail? It's an '06 sport v6
