yup, same block (5VZ-FE), and it seems the same one is in the taco but what i can't seem to figure out is why they were discontinued and where i can find one now. have tried everywhere on the net and they all say they are discontinued. i guess i'll have to try another source.

as some of you know i have a 2004 Hilux Surf with a 5VZ-FE engine,... and that's my biggest problem. Everywhere i look on the internet i find TRD applications for that engine in the TACOMA or the 4.0L 4runner but nothing for the 3.4L Surf. I've been on the lookout for almost a year now and...

On thing which is annoying the hell out of me is that it had a "K" on the front grille (typical JDM cr@p) which I removed to find a "T" under it but i can't seem to find a badge which fits in the recess. Seems to me that the one from my surfs grille might fit but I can't seem to find one in the...

I've also got a surf and yes, most parts wil fit straight on. exceptions are: some dashboard items (LHD vs RHD) some engine parts

personally i like a little bling on the surf/4runner so i'd say stick with the crome. in japan all surfs come with a metallic grey grille, the chorme one is an option.
