Well, I took it in to a Toyo specialist. They said the drivetrain is in good shape, but that one of my rear tires is out of round. And that this is likely causing the vibrations. Any thoughts? I have yet to take it to the tire shop, as I'm afraid they may say I need to replace all tires.

Good suggestion, thanks. Unfortunately it's my primary vehicle, so can't really afford to have it disassembled for too long.

As of right now, that's not an option due to finances and physically dropping that t case by myself. Also, not sure where you are finding a used t case for that price? I'm not finding any less than $300.

I have a 1999 Ltd, automatic. Wanting to replace the bearing in the transfer case that directly relates to the rear drive shaft. I am having difficulty locating what I believe is the correct part number. Anyone replaced this bearing before or know the part number?

I agree. However, only if I'm engaging 4wd frequently? I rarely use the 4wd, and seems like both times the noise started not too long after I used it.

Vibrations Problem It vibrates while accelerating and decelerating, above 60mph. The drive shaft is rebuilt. The DS was definitely balanced. The u-joints were completely replaced.

If the vibrations were bad enough to crack the adapter plate in half, they were certainly bad enough to damage bearings too. That is assuming that it wasn't bad bearings causing the vibration in the first place. Over the internet without driving and feeling the vehicle run, all I can do is...
