About 2 months ago, started having vibrations starting above 60mph. Vibrations then turned to loud rumble. Then adaptor plate cracked in half. Replaced adaptor plate and rear drive shaft. Well, it's been a month since then and the vibrations have started again! Have heard of a bearing in the transfer case potentially causing this problem? Also, never replaced those rubber counterweights after the first blowout. However, have read those are superfluous? But, perhaps not if this newly rebuilt drive shaft needs replaced again?? Please help!!

Vibrations Problem
That is a picture of the cracked adaptor plate. That resulted from what began as vibrations then turned into a loud rumble. I since replaced that adaptor plate and the rear drive shaft. The problem now is I don't want it to happen again! The vibrations have started back up again, after just a month of replacing the adaptor plate and rear drive shaft. Does anyone know about this bearing in the transfer case going bad potentially causing this major issue??

If the vibrations were bad enough to crack the adapter plate in half, they were certainly bad enough to damage bearings too. That is assuming that it wasn't bad bearings causing the vibration in the first place.
Over the internet without driving and feeling the vehicle run, all I can do is guess. There's a problem or problems in your drivetrain. Whether it's contained to one piece (transmission, T-case, driveshaft, 3rd member) or a combination of those, is impossible to say without inspecting the vehicle.
I'd suggest taking it to a qualified Tech that has training in NVH issues, to help locate where the problem is originating from.

One thing my brother and I found out, the hard way,is you can't lift one with out lifting the other.
How's your pinion angle after your lift? Is your transfer case still good, or did you have to replace it?

But starting to think it's just the transfer case entirely causing all of my problems. I am financially strapped, and therefore trying to do this as cost effectively as possible and do the work myself and with friends. Consequently, I am terrified to take it in to a shop just to get a $1500 quote...for what could only "possibly" be the problem. Therefore, I want to start with replacing the bearing in the transfer case. However, I have found several bearings online with different part numbers - not sure which one to start with replacing?

Does it vibrate under acceleration? Does it vibrate under deceleration? Both? Is the drive shaft new or rebuilt? I'd start by checking that the DS is balanced. (Probably is if the vibration was immediate after the repair). Bad ujoint maybe?
