I'm the same height as you. As previously mentioned, yes the seat does go up. The truck rides pretty high even stock from what you might be used to, if you came from a sedan and an old XJ jeep like me. I don't have the seat height even close to the max, my head can basically touch the headliner...

Does the same apply to TE's with manual transfer case? And is putting it in 4hi and driving 10 miles-ish sufficient? Or does 4lo need to be activated?

Is it the noise or the feeling you don't like? I really doubt anything can be done about it. Someone posted previously that the noise is related to the system that assists in braking in emergency situations. Turn the music up and forget about it.

It's normal, you'll get used to it. Mine also will "pulse" a little from time to time, I feel it when I'm stopped at a light and the pedal will vibrate a little, I think it is just the emergency brake system doing something. I've read that's also not something abnormal.

Sorry it took so long! So are there any "protective" mods I should do now to keep it in good shape? It seems that the tailgate rust only effected 06-09? Is that right? Looks like I will have to buy the roofrack cross bars as well, silly that it doesn't come with them.
