Towing when under 1000 miles?

I've been volunteered to help my old roommate move up to his residency in Burlington, VT from NYC. It's 300 miles each way, just moving a 10 foot utility trailer with furniture, I estimate under 1500lbs. Question is my truck only has 600ish miles on it, are there any precautions I need to take? Is this a good idea? Never towed with this truck obviously but I have some experience with an enclosed motorcycle trailer.

Pulled 4,600 lb trailer 1,000 miles when I had 320 miles on the clock without any precautions. I now have 38K miles on it and it has not blown up, broken down, smoked or seized yet. I don't know anything though.

My rig looks nothing like this anymore, but I had this trailer mostly full with only about 800 miles on it at that point.
Don't know how heavy the load was, but there was a lot of heavy stuff in there.
Barely even noticed I was pulling something down the highway with the 4runner's cabin full as well
At 30k miles now, i haven't had a single issue with my t4r.

Go for it and have a safe trip!

Don't forget U-Hauls wonderful 45mph speed limit signs you see every time you look in the side views . Seriously though, just cruise the speed limit, or whatever is safe for conditions. Not from there and don't know if you'll pull any grades but maybe take it easy and kick it out of overdrive if need be.
