Actually my problem was the car was on, not that the battery was connected; however, the dealership was actually the first to suggest to pull the fuse. They said to turn off the car and undo the battery to be safe. All ended well, but I still wouldn't do it with the car on again.

2008 4.7L v8 2wd. Turns out the codes just had to be cleared. Not sure what happened but that fixed it. :cheers:

Sorry I somehow overlooked this question. I think EFI is as in Electronic Fuel Injection? I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I tried resetting the fuses, but haven't checked the tires yet. Ill try that in the morning before going to the stealership. Thanks for the advise!! edit The Tires are were they are supposed to be...Other than the fuses, are there any other resets or did I destroy the relay circut?!?

Sorry, the relay. The fuse is fine. I think I shorted the relay when I pulled the fuse with the car on.

Ok, So I am an idiot....I pulled the EFI relay fused to reset the tranmission like forum members have suggested, and I forgot to undo the battery first and turn off the car (I was listening to the radio) and blew the relay.....I feel really, really, really dumb. So my question is, how does one...

I have an automatic (I don't know if there was a 4th gen manual), and I wanted to change the stock faux leather shifter with a better feeling one. How would one go about taking the old one off? I apologize if this is rather basic; I have just not ever had the reason to disassemble one of these...

Chaz, yes I did have a previous post on making it louder, but I talked to some people who said it would make the exhaust LOUD. I just want to hear when I turn my car on. Ill check out those 50,60, and 70's. MikesToy, what is a resonator and how do I take it out? Thanks for the replies.

I was looking at the flowmaster mufflers and I could use some help from the "muffler veterans." I see a lot of recommendations for the super44, but on their website it seems that that is a "very aggressive" tone. I don't want anything that will be extraordinarily loud, something say 30-50%...
