Mostly plug and play. I only ran mine off the stock amp for a few days and wouldn't say it has a great impact unless you use an aftermarket amp. Might improve a blown one tho.
Sounds great now. Current setup: 5 ch amp., Kicker 6x9 and tweeter set (6x9 PnP the tweeter needs a mount) on 1 & 2, 8"...

The answer in case anyone find this in the future is, no. Just use the first three toggles down for +7dbs. I still dont thinks it loud enough but clips at high volume.

Im upgrading my HU. I read that some people had issues with 2 volt out puts. The installation guide says to use a 4 volt. The unit I chose is a 6. Im worried about it being too loud and clipping.
The guide for the TATO says to put the toggles at +7dbs...
