I have a good friend, he actually married my wife and I, in vista ca and he's REAL green to working on vehicles...he has a 98 4runner v6 and the starter is going out on him. I would love to help him but I live in idaho now. If anyone feels comfortable with this or if there is any wrenching...

he's in vista...I used to live in oside. any specific suggestions would be great...I've gone both routes in the past...had shops rebuild or drop in used engine but I live in north idaho so I cant help him as much as I'd like to. thanks!

Well, I'm holding on to it in the hope that my brother will be able to purchase it in the near(er) future. I do enjoy it and we have had a blast with it...still have some mods that I'd like to do if we have it for an extended period of time...
