thanks..
..much appreciated. I'm definitely going to put in the bypass.
I've driven the vehicle probably 20 miles since I've bought it. So far the transfer case has had to be replaced, the heater doesn't work and now the injection pump. I'm in over $4K and it's picked up the groceries once...
Took it to the dealership and apparently they're stumped. I'm having trouble getting information on this. The AC works fine, but no heat at all.
Dealer admits they're clueless, and wants to pull the dash, with no real plan.
Any ideas? Thanks
My new (to me) 2005 V8 has several codes related (from what I understand) to a air injection pump related to emission control on startup.
This does not affect performance at all, but, from what I'm told, will put it into "limp mode" when it fails. The price quoted from the dealership: $2800...
Emisions?
I'm going through a similar nightmare- check engine lights , probable secondary air injection pump failure. (Now my heater won't work. Only blows cold air).
My only real option seems to be to install the bypass.
If I install the bypass will it still pass emissions? I live in Denver...
