Thanks for all the insite. Is anyone familiar with were the receiver is located for the remote entry. I would really like to try and test it.

I already went through the reprogram sequence. Once you get to the part when the horn is suppose to sound...it doesn't do anything. I reprogrammed one of the remotes about a year ago and had no issue with the reprogramming. Where is the receiver/radio located?

The other day both of my remotes for my '05 SR5 stopped working. They were both working great. The wife drove it one day, the next day they were inop. Does anyone have an idea what could have happened?

Its a 2005 w/ 86k on it. I owned a few Tacomas, but never had them do this. I tried the neutral switching it back forth while moving slow and stopped.

Tonight I was driving the wifes 4Runner. I was showing her how the 4WD. I turned the switch to 4WD, the usual 3-5sec of the flashing lights. It went into 4WD. Then I turned it back to 2WD the normal lights starting flashing plus 4lo started blinking. I pulled it over and back and forthed it...

It tells you which bulbs go where...I would order all new ones if you have it apart...if one or two are out soon the rest will start burning out also

I bought mine w/ 265/70/17 on it (05 SR-5 4X4). But the mud flaps were removed also when I bought it. It looks like w/ 70 series tires you won't be able to use the front mud flaps because of clearance. The rear looks to have enough clearance, don't know why they were removed. Hope this helps.

bump.....does anyone have just a rear set.....gotta be someone out there with a set collecting dust. Let me know how much. Thanks

I bought a '05 SR-5 4X4. We really like it but I am going to find a newer sport model when I come back to the states. There are quite a few over here but nobody wants to give them up....imagine that.

Bump....Nobody has a set they took off after doing a lift or something????

Thanks everyone for the help. I was able to look at it online again, the website was down yesterday. It has black (non painted) mirrors, black rails on top, and SR-5 rims. Although it does have the wing on the back, I guess that must have been an option. It looks like someone has debadged it...

I was wondering if anyone new what digit in the VIN stated what model 4Runner it is? It's hard getting info over here.
