    Good replacement for rear wiper?

That's good to know. I'll try that too.

    Good replacement for rear wiper?

Curiosity got the better of me, so I went out to the garage and removed the 2 screws that hold the blade assembly in place. After seeing how it goes together, it looks like OEM is the only way to go because there's no hook. I highly recommend the Rain-X wipers for the front, though.

How do I remove the dash knock-outs?

Enjoy your laughs at my expense while you still can - I won't be asking such noobish questions once my factory service manual arrives. :bat: Seriously though, that was ridiculously easy. I think I'm going to enjoy working on this truck a lot more than my old Chevy S-10.

How do I remove the dash knock-outs?

I just got my OEM fog light switch today, and I'm looking forward to installing it in the dash. Before I damage the dash or do any unnecessary work, how do I neatly remove one of those blanks?

    Good replacement for rear wiper?

I recently replaced the front wipers on my Runner with the Rain-X Latitude beam-type ones, and they work great. I'm hoping to similarly upgrade the rear one (which doesn't move water very well) but I haven't seen any beam-type blades small enough - the one on my truck is just under 13". What...

What do you keep in the little compartment next to the buttons for the moonroof?

That's correct; mine is a '98 and has the tiny little "card holder" compartment up there. I didn't realize that not all 3rd-gens are like that.

What do you keep in the little compartment next to the buttons for the moonroof?

I've had my 4Runner for less than a month and have yet to find a clever use for that little space. What do you good folks stash in there? :pimp:

Engine dies unless I apply throttle

I replaced the O2 sensor, reconnected the battery, and the Check Engine light is off. I took it out for a drive tonight, and purposely took a side street with lots of stop signs on the way home so I'd have plenty of opportunities to accelerate quickly. It went like a champ up until the...

Engine dies unless I apply throttle

Thanks for the replies. The Denso website shows part# 234-4154 as the rear O2 sensor for my truck (V6, auto trans, 4WD) and my nearest auto parts store should have it for me tomorrow. I've read threads here about some people getting Denso O2 sensors to replace the one after the cat and the...

Engine dies unless I apply throttle

I've only had my '98 4Runner SR5 for a couple of weeks, and it's always run perfectly since I've had it. I went out for a drive tonight and the engine died while coasting after a quick getaway from a traffic light. I ended up having to drive the rest of the way home braking with my left foot...

    calling all photo shop guys

Great Photoshop job! Would you mind briefly explaining how you changed the color like that? I'm pretty familiar with the program.

    What a great truck

Thanks for the welcome. The only mods I'm looking at right now are some lighting upgrades. Other than that, I'm just checking it over and getting it ready to be my daily driver for this Chicago winter.

    What a great truck

I bought my 1998 4Runner exactly one week ago, and it feels like a brand new truck despite having 168K on it. It runs great, looks great, and nearly everything works. I look forward to learning more about it here. -Mike
