Ok finally making some progress on this, it’s been quite a while. Got all the 4wheelunderground parts laid out Frame plates and steering box installed, wasn’t easy getting enough clearance in the core support lots of trimming involved. Got the superduty knuckle kit all welded up Letting...

    415Yota’s Build

I’ve been collecting parts for the past few months. Last couple weeks things have been getting pretty serious with my suspension order. Going 1 tons & 40’s. Been a while since I’ve posted here, but here’s some pictures. Here’s the carport I’m doing the project in Here’s Tim getting some...

    Blower motor resistor problem

I’ve looked over everything pretty thoroughly, but I didn’t take the evaporator core back out so what ever is behind there is kind of the only thing I can’t really inspect. But yea maybe I just need to look over everything again a few times and see if I see anything.

    Blower motor resistor problem

I’ve been having a pretty odd problem with my blower motor (2000 limited 4runner). It seemed like my blower motor would only stay on max speed (even though it would show slow speed on the control unit) so I replaced my blower motor resistor as that was the recommended fix. Now my blower speed...

Tire Question: KM3 vs Baja Legend MTZ

No experience with the mickeys, I think those are pretty new actually? But I loved my KM3’s when I had 33’s, now I have stt pro’s in 35’s. The one thing I’ll say about the KM3’s is they chunked pretty easily from what I remember. Hit me up when you hit the rubicon, definitely on my list of...

Bought this 1998 limited for a really low price

Have to say it but always maintenance before mods. Greatest resource we have is Timmy the toolman on YouTube. First thing id do is change every fluid (engine/transmission/transfercase/front+rear diffs/coolant/brake fluid/power steering). Next id change the radiator/lower ball joints (uppers +...

T-case breather - PN or extend it?

I extended mine to an arb breather kit into the engine bay. If you get these 5/8” push fittings it literally fits perfect. You just have to take the cap off the breather and file the lip down just a little so the nipple is flush all the way around. Then the push fitting goes right on and seals...

    Lefty is coming back!

That’s what I was thinking at first but I’ve drained/refilled the marlin case and no red trans fluid at all(auto trans). Also checked trans fluid and looks just as fresh as when I changed it 4-5k miles ago, no signs of gear oil. Don’t really know what to make of it, when I talked to the NWF guys...

    Lefty is coming back!

Yea for some reason I think all doubler cases like to spit oil out of the breather, my Marlin case is reallllyyyy bad. Lost about a quart over 2k miles lol. Will be switching to the NWF case in the near future because I want to switch back to oem gas tank in order to use the 4wu rear underbed...

Vacuum line kit - any recommendations?

After having a silicone kit for a few years the only hose that I wasn’t happy with was the #12 hose (had to make the hose longer and make a bigger loop as to not kink the hose), and also the pcv hose (oil seeps through the silicone). I replaced the pcv hose with OEM now though. Other than that...

Almost Done with Timing Belt Job- Any Experts to Steer On Related Service Items?

Don’t use power steering fluid in the PS system. Only use the dexron 3 or higher transmission fluid, hopefully if you went to Toyota they made sure you got the right stuff..

Almost Done with Timing Belt Job- Any Experts to Steer On Related Service Items?

    1. Use Toyota or Toyota specific coolant (they sell the red/pink Toyota specific stuff at orielly/autozone etc) 2. There is a way to do it, I can’t remember specifically. If it were me I’d just replace how much you drained out and then maybe in another 5-15k miles do another drain/refill. Any...
