Vacuum line kit - any recommendations?

Do you have a good source for oil/fuel-resistant hoses, by chance?

Not yet. A mfg has to make these hoses for Toyota, or at least the various line diameters and they have to send it via so many feet spools. I dont see Toyota mfg itself. Most likely coming from a rubber / tire mfg as a guess. Its even possible this mfg just makes the hoses to spec too. I have yet to get an confirming answer.

I haven't had the time to run an experiment on a hose to see if the boil/ice trick works (we're in the process of moving and almost everything I own is packed up).

But I'm really skeptical of it working. 212F is right around the normal underhood temps, and I doubt that that temperature is hot enough for the hoses to lose shape. If it were, then all our underhood hoses would be like noodles.

I did come across some posts online saying to bake the hoses at closer to 300-350F, but I have some concerns about what that would do to a hose's reliability. Then some folks jumped in and said they work in the rubber industry, and that these DIY attempts are a waste of time. I suspect they are right - the hose shape is molded during manufacturing, and you cannot safely/properly change that shape just by heating.

After having a silicone kit for a few years the only hose that I wasn’t happy with was the #12 hose (had to make the hose longer and make a bigger loop as to not kink the hose), and also the pcv hose (oil seeps through the silicone). I replaced the pcv hose with OEM now though. Other than that the silicone kit has been pretty good IMO.

That's the issue with silicone tubing. It can not take oil or gasoline.
