4th Gen specific for sale thread

I can't tell but is it tan? My driver seat isn't terriblely ripped but it drives me crazy.

    Oil brand preference

Thats why I started this thread. I also think I will try the Toyota OEM filter next oil change. Does anyone have the Toyota part number or link to find on Amazon handy?

    Oil brand preference

I run commercial mowers and my current mower has a Kohler engine on it. It has been a super reliable motor, but it has had noisy lifters since day one. I usually ran Mobil 1 in it, but when I switched to the manufacturs brand oil (Kohler) the noisy lifters magically went away. I know toyota...

    Oil brand preference

Thats what I usually do. Walmart seems to be the place to go for discount Mobil 1.

    Wife's 4runner needs new suspension (X-REAS)

I did see your post, I think I would be happy with your setup, but I am leaning towards a softer cushier feel to satisfy the wife, baby, and 90 pound lab! Not a fan of feeling every bump for better off road performance with this rig.

    Wife's 4runner needs new suspension (X-REAS)

Still have not pulled the trigger yet. Now I am leaning towards Dobinsons springs and shocks. I like the idea of a softer ride and high quality components. Something about KYB for $350 off Amazon seems a bit too good to be true. Maybe someone else with KYB who has had success can chime in...

    Oil brand preference

I am curious what everyone is running for oil. I have been running mobil 1 high mileage synthetic with a mobil 1 filter, but I am looking for something else to try. I have got a slight whine in the motor somewhere, and I have heard that some have been able to remedy the noise (superficial but...

    Wife's 4runner needs new suspension (X-REAS)

Still have not ordered any shocks or springs yet. I think I am pretty heavily leaning towards KYB replacement struts and springs for front. I believe this might be the best option between too stiff and too soft. I want to retain as much of the ride comfort as possible while ditching the...

    No rear heat??

Thanks for the info guys. My fj62 blows tons of heat out of the rear so was surprised heat only comes out of floor vents in the newer 4runner. I've never had an issue with heat otherwise (knocks on wood)

Do you know if the tacoma UCAs are direct swaps as well? I found a set for $150 practically new local, he's got the UCAs available too.

    No rear heat??

Has anyone had any issues getting the rear heater to blow hot air? I guess I never checked to see if it worked when I acquired the vehicle, but with a newborn in the backseat now it is now a must! Is there a separate coolant line for the rear heater similar to the 3rd gens? Ive got a 2004...

    Wife's 4runner needs new suspension (X-REAS)

I will probably go with the 5100s and keep the stock springs. Has anyone had any luck ordering them off Amazon? It looks like the have a set of 4 5100s for around $350 and its Amazon prime. Its almost $100 cheaper than Toytec, seems like its worth looking into.

I appreciate the offer, but I am a bit north of you in MN! I like your LED interior lights. I tried to convert mine but ended up blowing fuses and getting weird electrical glitches. Convinced myself I am happy with halogen lights now and no headaches!

    Wife's 4runner needs new suspension (X-REAS)

So the 4600s are what come stock on the tacoma trd off roads then I assume? there is a complete suspension for sale local here off a tacoma but he wants $500 for it. I thought that was too high to even haggle with, especially if I can get 4 new shocks and solve most of my problems for around...

    Wife's 4runner needs new suspension (X-REAS)

I think that would be my decision if it was strictly my rig, but this is my wifes daily grocery getter keep in mind. I just bought a new set of Cooper AT3 4s in 265/65/17 on some new 2011 trail edition rims. If I went with the 6112s I would be inclined to go back to discount tire (for the 6th...
