I have the same setup you do; one of the additions I had the dealer do is to have front and back sensors installed. Works like a charm..

Thank you all... will have to give it a thought and decide what to do. Will also talk to the dealer's service dept to see if them have a fix that does not include me disassembling/drilling anything.

Thanks. If she stood on her toes and jump a little, she'll reach the handles. Will have to consider drilling a hole later--still too new and don't think she'll let me do it now. Gosh, wonder how much would a "wife lift" would cost - hmmmm.. elevator shoes!

As luck would have it, the height of the liftgate open is a bit too high for my wife to reach to close is. Just curious if anyone else has the same dilemma and am interested on your "fixes". A folding one-step ladder is the quick fix for her but that also means leaving it in the truck at all...

I have a 2011 4runner LE. Just noticed that the theft deterrent system icon (key with a car icon) is blinking and a buzzer keeps coming on every 30 seconds or so. What does it mean?
