so I installed the CBI Covert Front Bumper and WTF?

Expecting it to look like the picture they use to show what it looks like is too high of an expectation??? Maybe if more people let them know their quality is shit, these companies would hold themselves to higher standards. I build stuff for a living and if I couldn't make something under a 1/2"...

Ordered a Pro Comp 4" lift kit. Will I need driveshaft modifications?

Did you install the limiting straps? In the instruction manual, it says to install the side with the offset bracket on the lower shock mount, but the straps included didn't have an offset bracket like it showed in the instructions. They are flat brackets and won't mount there because it hits the...

Ordered a Pro Comp 4" lift kit. Will I need driveshaft modifications?

I'm stuck with the spacers for now with the wheels I'm running. The tires will rub the UCAs if I don't.

Ordered a Pro Comp 4" lift kit. Will I need driveshaft modifications?

I just now saw these replies. The front axles are even better than they were before the lift. The front diff dropped down with the kit, and the axles look more relaxed. I didn't notice until I was installing this that there were 2" ball joint spacers installed, and the axles looked pretty...

    Spring options for the rear

I bought my 2nd gen V6 with land cruiser springs already installed in the rear, and 2" spacers on the UCAs with torsion bars cranked up. I swapped all that out with a ProComp 4" lift, but the rear doesn't sit any higher than it did with the land cruiser springs, and sags quite a bit more with...

Ordered a Pro Comp 4" lift kit. Will I need driveshaft modifications?

I have a 94 V6 5 speed and ordered the Pro Comp K5061B kit. I'm still waiting on it to arrive, but have been going through the instructions to make sure I get as prepared as possible, because I'd like to get it done only working Friday afternoon and all day Saturday to get an alignment on Sunday...

Fuel return line location on 3VZE

Oh, and to clarify, I used 1/8" rod, which doesn't fit into these holes, so I put a cone end on it with a grinder, which also ensures I doesn't slip inside too far and get in the way of the bolt going through.

Fuel return line location on 3VZE

Here are the banjo fittings being plugged. I used some ring terminals as "soft jaws" to keep from marring the sealing surface. If you have anyone else do this, make sure they use soft jaws to clamp these to hold in place, or it'll probably end up leaking.

Fuel return line location on 3VZE

So after looking at it, the splice wouldn't work. The line is too brittle. After searching for a new line, and looking at having a custom one made, and dead ends for all of those, I decided to just delete the line. I couldn't even find any M8x1.0 bolts that were short enough locally to plug it...

Fuel return line location on 3VZE

Do you happen to know the name of that line? I just broke it.... I wanted to get this running today but that's not happening now. I'd like to get a new one as opposed to getting another brittle one from the junk yard. Never mind, I figured it out. I'm just going to go with a fuel line splice.

Fuel return line location on 3VZE

That could be why I don't see it because I don't have that on yet. I would never have thought there would be a banjo fitting going to the intake plenum. Its been about a month since I took that off, so I don't remember it. But this engine has a ridiculous amount of vacuum lines and EGR...

Fuel return line location on 3VZE

I'm sure I'll find it eventually, but thought I could get a quick answer here while I keep putting the engine back together. Doing a head gasket replacement, and getting everything back together now. This was the first time I have done anything with this motor. I got the fuel rails and injectors...

Can anyone explain what's been done to my suspension?

Thanks for the info. When I first test drove it, I didn't realize it only had 10psi in the 34.5" super swampers. It was like driving a moon buggy. I kinda liked it. But as soon as I realized how low they were, I filled them up. Have you heard of anyone doing an axle swap with wider axles?

    Front Mount Hitch

I've seen the reinforcements people have done, usually out of 1/4" plate. I'm not saying they can't be reinforced well, I'm just pointing out the way this bumper is mounted to the side rails, it's essentially another front cross member. Only made from double stacked 1.675" tubes gusseted to the...

Can anyone explain what's been done to my suspension?

I was just finding this out after doing some more looking. I was under the impression it had leaf springs as stock, after my buddy mentioned it. He's a Toyota fanatic so I was taking his word for it. It does look like there were perch mounts for leaf springs where the rust marks are on the frame...
