Yeah, that's what's interesting to me. Sure there's no engine failures reported to this, but *something* happens in the drivetrain to start making a noise. Mine went 99k miles without it and now has it. I've read this thread obviously, and a bunch on the FJ forums. I can't find any failures...

Mine just started doing this exactly like the videos posted. 2014 Trail at 99k miles. While I get that it’s “normal” I’m curious to know what physical change in the drivetrain has happened to create this whine.

I can't understand putting off purchasing a truck just because next year the radio screen will be bigger. Maybe a small fraction of buyers are doing what you say, but the majority of people decide they need/want a car and go buy one. I guess TRDPRO people are different though.

Anybody else running these? I have about 45k miles on my KO2s and while they have a good amount of tread life left the wet traction has gotten pretty bad. I'm considering a set of SL AT3 4Ss.
