How does it sound?

Yes it does. I have front and rear from a 5th Gen TRD pro on mine. Front required basically no modification, think I had to maybe grind a small amount on the front shock eyelets as it was a tight fit. The upper mounts for the rear shocks were too small though and I had to take a step bit to them.

Why not look for a late model year 200 series? Or Gx460? Both of those seat 7, are proven platforms and have super reliable V8's with similar MPG to entering else, and if you bought one now it would essentially be a brand new car still.

Just looked up their website and wow those look really nice, especially the ones with the pod lights for high beams. Do you have a picture of yours installed?

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing somebody on mud put a set of 5th Gen sliders on a GX470 and them pretty much bolting right up, maybe having to drill 1 hole or something minor? The only scenario this makes sense to me in is if you've found a set of 5th Gen sliders locally for cheap then I think...

What did you go with for your projectors? I'm assuming you mean you changed them out for LED projectors? I've got a set of 06 headlights to swap into my 03 and I'm debating on whether or not I should try and find some LED projectors to put in them.

If you've still got your 4runner I'd love to see how this looks installed. I'm really not a fan of the all black plastic look with these TRD style grills, just looks cheap to me, but I think color matching it would fix that.

This is interesting, my 2004 GX470 has been without audio for about a year and a half now. Same symptoms, power works, everything appears to function as it should be with the head unit, but no sound. I assumed maybe the amp went out, but I do recall hearing a popping noise right when the audio...
