    CV axle concern

Thank you. I am planning on ordering from CVJ. I don't have my OEM ones anymore so I won't get the core charge back :/ oh well.

    CV axle concern

I know it's not the calipers because it turns 1/4 turn before it won't turn anymore. Maybe I'm due for a diff drop but I remember reading somewhere that they are more trouble than they do good.

    CV axle concern

So I recently replaced my axels with Cardone axles from rock auto. The front tires are unable to rotate when I have the front end off the ground. I have read that this is an issue with Cardone axles. When the car is on the ground it drives normally unless I am on the gas too hard, which lifts...

    UCA the limiting droop factor?

Yeah I might have to lower my front. I have the 885 with top plate setup which many people have. Not sure why I am having trouble.

    UCA the limiting droop factor?

It seems pretty close to topping out. When I lift the front off of the ground I cannot rotate the front tires more than a 1/4 turn. I think Cardone CV's are causing this but it drives fine on the road. I am still not sure if the chatter is from the cv's or the UCA's Where could I pick up...

    UCA the limiting droop factor?

Anyone? Getting a lot of chattering in the front at WOT. Pretty sure its the UCA's but not positive. I have Cardone CV axles that are known to bind with too much lift, could this be it? Ideas?

    UCA the limiting droop factor?

So I have Built Right UCA's and I believe they are maxing out. When I get on the gas hard and the front lifts up It sounds like chattering from the front. I know it isn't my 5100 maxing out because when I undo my lower control arm the shock continues to lower after the UCA is maxed. Is it...

    tucktuck8's Build Thread (Penelope)

Look Here Post number 53 gives all the parts list. That is basically how I did mine except I used different misalignment spacers and I didn't trim the shaft sleeve. Don't go to Home Depot - they don't carry the necessary grade 8 hardware - Lowes. Got the all thread rod and him joints off of amazon.

    Complete front suspension rebuild?

CV shafts are relatively easy to replace. Make sure you replace the seals while you're in there. You can get new CV shafts for about 70 from rock auto. Some members have had problems with after market CV's on their lifted runners so the best route would be just to reboot the OEM one but it is a...

    tucktuck8's Build Thread (Penelope)

I was planning on taking some but haven't gotten around to it yet. I will take them within the next week. They are some custom ones I put together. I used the Energy Suspension end-link kit for the sleeves and bushings and then all-thread rod, heim joints, and misalignment spacers to get the...

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Swapped my 1/4" spacer for a 1/2" one up front. Leveled it out quite a bit. With the no compression method I can now get strut assemblies out and back in in about 35 minutes a side. Tried stacking them at first but it was a little much - I could hear it maxing out my UCA's over bumps.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Same for me. I have the CarPlay but have been using the bluetooth way more. They are coming out with an update that allows CarPlay over bluetooth. Should be nicer to use then.
