Head rebuild, missing bushing on intake manifold. Or am I?

So had heads redone and have put everything back together. When I got to the intake manifold, there are these bushings in the corner of the manifold. Presumably so you don't crush the plastic corners. I seem to be missing the back passenger side. Looked all over. Looked online and don't see the...

Left over parts after prolonged valve job. Please help identify 2UZ-FE 2006 V8

Thanks very much for that! Will check it out. I think I've pretty much confirmed that the other piece is in fact a wire holder for oxygen sensor. Saw a similar one on the other side. Impossible to get it bolted to the engine now that it's all put back together as there is like 1/4" clearance...

Left over parts after prolonged valve job. Please help identify 2UZ-FE 2006 V8

Long story short. Pulled heads to have them re-done. Started reinstallation, then got a family emergency that had me moving locations for about a half a year. Now I'm back and have the engine together and running fine, but have two parts left over. One looks like a critical heat shield, but...

2006 4.7L head gasket replacement. Anyone done one?

That is an excellent idea! Or threaded rod if I can find it (not sure I could get a bolt that long.. or possibly use one of the old head bolts!). That was my main concern since I'd be hovering over the engine with roughly 40-50 pounds of weight. When I pulled the heads, I was standing on the...

2006 4.7L head gasket replacement. Anyone done one?

Thanks, but the odd thing is that I can't find a set of studs and nuts anywhere. I can find nuts by the EACH and studs by the EACH, but you'd think if it was required, they'd come in a set. Not a huge deal, but the nut is $3-5 each and the stud is $5 each and we're looking at 8x2 which comes out...

2006 4.7L head gasket replacement. Anyone done one?

Exhaust manifold nut/stud and reinstallation of head w/em attached I have pulled everything, have had the heads re-done and now ready to re-assemble. The YT video I was watching says exhaust manifold nuts MUST be replaced. Wondering if this is true and if so, why? Nuts came off without a fight...

    intermittent misfire after timing belt.

Yeah, definitely sounds like a coil pak. I had a similar issue BEFORE I replaced the timing belt. Replaced the belt (the old one was right on), and for the heck of it bought a set of 8 coils. Did all that and nothing ever happened again. Glad you got that figured out.

    Why a 4th gen?

For me, we got a 19' Airstream (Bambi), and was looking for a good tow vehicle for it. It was between this (V8) and a Sequoya. Tows very nicely, but definitely needed that V8 package.

What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?

Paid for $19,800 for my used 2006 V8 Ltd. Only 72,000 miles. Has been great (until recently).

Replacing timing belt because of AGE at 52,000 miles???

Yes, FWIW, I just replaced my timing belt with 70,000 miles on it because my truck died in the middle of nowhere, and from the CEL codes, I was fearing it was the belt. The belt and timing were perfect. I guess what'd I'm trying to say is that at 70k, I expected to see a worn out belt. Far from...
