Reviews on the Rain-X wipers are always mixed because no one realizes or specifies which of the several different model of Rain-X blade they used. They make everything from basic cheap conventional to nice silicone ones.
That being said, I put a said of Latitude 2 in 1 blades on my dad's car...
2" measured lift up front. 285-70-17 on 17x8 w/ -10 offset.
Trimmed the front bumper a touch, didn't move the liner at all. Pushed the mud flap back a touch. Only minimal rub on the flap hump at full lock.
Do you recall if you had to use their longer studs or were the factory ones long enough???
From my understanding a half inch thick plate shouldn't require new studs but that isn't mentioned in their description at all.
Need to add a little lift to the front and want to throw a strut spacer in. My googlefu is only showing me no name ebay stuff. I realize it is just a piece of aluminum but would prefer something from a reputable company.
Any suggestions?

That shouldn't be the case. The computer doesn't adjust, your right foot does. All the computer should be doing is maintaining a level of timing that eliminates knock and it will do that on the fly instantly. Ethanol of clear gas shouldn't be effecting that as the fuel octane rating is after...
