You learn to drain the pan, then spin the oil catcher to just take the small drips from the pan, but be far enough to the driver's side to catch the filter spill. Then you clean up the control arm and such with a rag.

I need to look into this as well. My problem is the wiper won't kick on unless put into full speed, but than can be turned back to intermittent and will run fine... It is like the intermittent signal isn't telling the wiper to unpark. This, at least last year, was only a problem in the winter...
