    Towing

No, not many:) I am getting around 12 mpg. It has 44 gal fuel tank and it can last for 400+ miles, so it seams like a normal car until you have to fill it $120 worth of gas. But towing uphill you can see the needle move! 5 mpg I guess:(

    Towing

I ended up buying GMC Suburban 2500 with 454 engine. But I kept my 4Runner:). Suburban does the job, but 4Runner was doing it just as well. The difference is a larger wheel base and more towing capacity (10000 lb on mine). I also got equilizer hitch, it makes a big difference. And having 9 seats...

Yeah, it was stopped completely. I know the drill. I actually did tow my boat with it. Felt ok, but I am still thinking of buying a large truck. Short wheel base could become an issue, and with surge brakes on my trailer I cannot use most of sway control systems. Still undecided.

Mark Miller Toyota - Salt Lake City, Utah

Great experience! Got exactly what I want at the price I want it. No pushing, no gimmics, no BS. Sales person name was David Lacourse. His partner spent almost 2 hours going over equipment, options and tips AFTER we bought the vehicle till we said enough, we gotta go home! Best experience I have...

    Towing

Guys! Another stupid question! (I am kind of sorry :-) I tried to put my 4Runner in 4L mode and it felt jerky. I was surprised as my old Durango didn't seem to do that. I didn't have any load (that could be a problem) but still it felt like rpm were changing up and down (but engine was smooth)...

    Towing

Thanks guys! Here is a completely stupid question: the V8 has maximum torque at 3200, which is around 65 mph in the 4th gear. Toyota recommends to tow at 45 mph, that is 2000 rpm in 4th gear. Does it mean that driving 60-65 in 4th you are more likely to stay in that gear because engine makes...

    Towing

Please advice. I want to pull a 6000+ boat with my 06 4Runner (V8) here in Utah (most lakes are up in the mountains, high elevations). Will I ruin my 4Runner? Should I buy a diesel tow truck (F350)? If I drive slow will it last longer? HELP!

I am still waiting. It is on a back order. At least they didn't charge me this time. I'll let you know when I get it.

    06 Bug Shield

I ordered one from Toyota, it will take month or so. It better fit this time.

    06 Bug Shield

I thought it was a sealant but turned out just a pice of rubber. The guard didn't fit anyway. Central part just wasn't right, I am gonna ask these guys why it says 03-06 4Runner on the box. It has to be bent somehow in the middle to fit there. Or as an option you can drive without a grill but...

    06 Bug Shield

Thank you! I hope it goes well. I kind of worry about that rubber sealant, or whatever it is between grill and hood. I got it from small shop and if I find a receipt I let you know who makes it. Toyota also has it but waiting time is around two months and it costs $130. I didn't want to wait. If...

    06 Bug Shield

I got one last Monday. On the box it says 4Runner 2003-2006. I'll try to install it tomorrow and we'll see if it is a real deal.
