are you proposing the removal of the factory tint on the glass? Not sure if you know but the factory tint is a coloration that is inside the glass - meaning it's not coming out unless you replace the glass with non-tinted glass. Most reputable tint shops can do a pretty nice job matching up...

actually - factory tint is 30.3%. Local PD used their electronic tint meter and that's what the result was. My doors are 22% and the windshield is 38%. I need to post a picture of mine... having the windshield done really completes the tint.

I got mine at Rural King (tractor supply store) for about $15.00....

I guess I'll fess up and admit that I bought one of the trashbags. Had a "catch 22" with them though: Wifey demanded it but was unaware of its price. Happy when it came in but boy was she ticked off when she saw the price!! Sometimes you just can't win...

Yes and No. Yes if they have access to NCIC/IDACS via department server. No they can't go to some random website and look it up. This belongs in Off Topic, BTW.
