Write-up: How to Disable (Bypass) the TPMS

Hello, I haven't posted in a while but I wanted to say thank you to txt4r for posting this solution. I used it today on my aging 4Runner (2004). It worked like a charm.

    Rear Bumper Input Please

Where do you commonly find steel for things like rear bumpers? I need a bumper for my 99 and I can't pay $1,000 bucks for one. I think I could cut all the parts and have my friend weld it. Does that sound goofy? I'm pretty handy but I don't weld.

    I need some GUITAR advice...

I've played an acoustic guitar for years. When my son wanted to start, he borrowed a Strat from my brother. After he had been playing for a year or so, I bought him an American Strat. I think it is wise to start modestly with the Mexican manufactured Strat. You can get them at a reasonable price...

    Towing a pop-up camper with an 01 T4R

If the 4Runner is rated at 5,000 lbs it will tow 5,000 lbs. It wouldn't scare me to use it's full ability. My Jeep had the same tow rating and I towed my boat for 4 years with it w/o any issues. My boat weighs about 4,000 lbs. The only thing I didn't like was that the boat sometimes drove the...

Worker: 'Toyota Way' Ignored at Factory

She must have been doing a good job to have survived in the company for 23 years. There is probably more to the story but the timing is interesting when you consider Toyota's recent quality issues.

    Rusty Rear Bumper

I have a 99 4runner with a rusty rear chrome bumper. Do I have to replace the whole thing or will it come apart so I can replace the middle portion? I can't afford a decent steel bumper yet. If I can replace the center portion, where can I buy it? Thanks!

    Bosh plugs

Oh. Thanks for the reply. I guess that makes sense. I think I'll go get the correct plugs now.

    Bosh plugs

I ask again, is there technical reason why I should pay twice as much for a spark plug? I'm not trying to be a smart @$$ but all I'm hearing is "Oh Yeah Don't ever do that". Why?

    Bosh plugs

Well, I'll defer to your greater experience but I really can't tell any difference in the way the car runs with the AC plugs. Do you know why the original plug has two electrodes? I'd be interested to know.
