Don't get the sunroof. It adds two inches to cabin height.

maybe. Remove all seats but drivers, remove spare tire, put on smaller tires, get a lithium ion battery, and then only put in gas a 1/4 to 1/2 tank at at a time to keep weight down, also make sure engine is pristine, new plugs, clean throttle body, highway speeds only. then maybe?

sleeping in 4 runner bought a inflatable queen mattress at walmart. inflated it in the car and it snugged up nice and was perfect. Deflated it in the AM to put the gear back in. too hot in the summer months to sleep inside in the summer months without some sort of swamp cooler, portable AC.

looking for a FLAT roof rack Has anyone ever seen a flat roof rack? Something that would sit between the factory rails like a flat piece of steel? Maybe with some strategically cut holes to tie stuff down? This would be super low profile and spartan.
