yah i agree with dc runner. if the antifreeze had just leaked in from removal of the head the walls of the cylinder and the piston wouldn't have been washed so clean.

I'm swapping the 3.4 in my 96 standard 4runner with a 3.4 from 99 standard tacoma. I'm just wondering if the wiring is the same or if i have to swap it over. Thanks

96 3.4 swap to 99 3.4 I'm doing an engine swap in my 96 standard T4R which has a 3.4 and i'm putting in a 3.4 from a 99 standard tacoma. Is the wiring all the same and same computer, or do i have to switch it over? I'd appreciate some help. Thanks
