96 4runner Not Starting

Hey i've got a 96 V6 SR5 and i just put a new motor in it. But before i did the swap i unplugged the computer to see if i could use the wiring harness on the new motor. When i plugged the computer back in, i'm guessing i set off the rs3000 alarm system because it wouldn't start. Anyways, i went ahead and did the swap finished it up and now that everything is back together it still won't start. I even bought a toyota key fob for that system thinking it would fix it, but it didn't. Just wondering if anybody has had the same experience and can help me out. Thanks

its very simple unplug the alarm unit disconnect the battery cables, touch - to + that discharge everything, then put the unit back and setup the keyfob 4Runners.org - How to Reprogram a RS3000 Remote like so, then you should be good to go.

sry no help with the all data, i know if you touch the pos and neg in any component that has memories it will discharge all of them, so get a piece of wire and just touch all the pins and hopefull that will work.

so i finally got it running. found out it was just a loose connection. Thanks for the replies though
