Proposing on Wednesday (advice, ideas?)
So I plan on proposing to my girlfriend and wanted any suggestions. Some info.
She lives in Sacramento I live in Bakersfield (4hr drive). A while back she had mentioned about how she always wanted to be proposed at a airport (later confirmed that with my future sister in law). Its her birthday next week, and I planned for us to fly out of Sacramento to Vegas. We leave from Sacramento at 6a.m. We land in Vegas at 10ish. I was planning to propose to her at Vegas airport when I land. I figured that would be best because then we would be out to celebrate versus proposing and then siting in a plane for hours.
I was planning to propose while we walk through the airport. I am quite nervous about doing it at a airport. But I figured everyone will be a stranger and I probably wont see any of them ever again.
Any advice or suggestions.
Thanks guys.

Call up the airport and ask them if you can have the police called on you. Then when they are arresting you in front of your girlfriend for suspected terrorism all you have to do is whip out the ring and say it's a misunderstanding.

Sounds pretty good as is. Tryin to think... You need a stopping point... like maybe stop and she can look at sunglasses or purfume or fudge or whatever and then she'll be distracted and you can get that box ready. She'll pick up on your nervousness, I'm sure. But just try to act normal and catch her by surprise.
U have the convo with future Pops in law?

I wish i could do that. I'm already a brown man and already get randomly selected every time. lol. I'd probably end up in Gitmo for that. lol

I was planning to stop for some food first and then maybe go into a shop for a souvenir (that'd give me time to pull out the ring). and the Pops in law is a bit different with being Indian. Both our parents already know that we want to get married so they just been waiting on us.

You have it good already, don't over plan or script to heavily. Keep it open and fluid so you don't have the pressure of keeping everything as you have planned. Since you plan to get something to eat that will provide all sorts of openings, play it by ear but know she's waiting for this "surprise" proposal!
BTW, congratulations!

Just be careful about having the ring on you. You'll have to empty your pockets going through security. If you have it in your carry on just try to have it somewhere that it won't stand out on the xray screen.
Congrats bro!

What a coincidence.. I just tied the knot in vegas friday. What a blast. When i proposed i put the ring on our cats collar in place of its bell. The only advicei can give is to just make it very specific to the both of you. Use something you already share. I think it makes it more special.

although i have no expierence getting married, i still feel even if she wanted to get proposed at an airport, if you know this then there is no real surprise, i would try for a more elaborate plan so that she does not see it coming at all completley irrelevant to the airport.

You could have a limo picking you up at the airport. His sign for you could say "bride to be" or something like that. You can work off of that idea.
I am proposing in the Blue Ridge Mountains on my motorcycle trip in about 3 weeks. We both ride, and I love the mountains and roads down south. I am going to do it on the highest point on the Blue Ridge Parkway...I figure that is one of those places which will never be demolished or shut down. So it will be there for the rest of our lives. I am thinking to have someone take our picture in front of the sign but then drop to a knee. Hopefully everything goes as planned!
