01- 02 Tail lights

I'm lookin to change my 2000 rear tail lights to the 01-02 tails. Is this just a plug and play installation or are there any modifications that need to be done? I found some replacement 01-02 tails on ebay but they say it does not fit my vehicle year. Help me out here..

Plug and play, i did it in may or march, everything aligns perfect and it looks great.

Just bought a pair on Ebay for $100. New Aftermarket though. There are a pair of OEM's for sale but they are a $100 a piece used!

I have a 96 Limited and they weren't plug and play. They bolted up the same and the wiring harness fit BUT I had to re-pin the wiring harness on the 01-02 style tails. I bought ebay tails as well and they are worth it to me.

Agree, your right.

This thread is a repost of a repost of a repost that has been covered hundreds of times but it will bolt up but the harnesses are different. You can buy an adapter but there have been reported issues doing this swap with the electrical system and dash lights going on.

OEM tails with OEM harness off a 2001 (LINY's old tails) fit my 1997 with no repin or anything, full plug and play.

Plug & Play I would look into getting white LED reverse bulbs
