I don't think I could pay that much. Everyone's situation is different obviously. Though it does have low miles, what it doesn't have is low years. With all the hoopla and how much fun we all have in our 3rd gens, it is easy to see the consideration. Unless many of the items have been replaced, you're still looking at a good amount of maintenance in the near future.
From an on paper standpoint, you're definitely paying too much. Therein lies the beauty of the 3rd gen, the newer generations are not for everyone and rightly so. This decision will only be able to be made by you. How much are these trucks worth? Well, they're worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them. You have the money, and looks like the desire to be a 3rd gen owner, go ahead and take the plunge. Basic principle would be to get him or her closer to 20,000 or lower. But, like always, it's your dream. Pay what you have to to see it happening.
For a similar price, you can be in a 4th gen with full time 4wd or AWD and the silky smooth V8 with VVT-i and leather.
Or even the 4 litre 6 with part time 4x and the same comfy cozy leather.
If you're asking all of our opinions. I could not pay that much for a 3rd gen. Especially once I had the chance to drive in the 4th gen V8, I fell in love with it.
