First about my car: 2002 4Runner SR5 3.4L V6 4WD with 186,608 miles on it. I bought it little over 3 years ago with 148,475 miles on it and just paid it off. It's had one owner before me and car fax was good. He replaced fuel pressure sensor, and in 2010 he changed the thermostat, spark plugs, water pump, timing belt, and serpentine belt replaced. In 2012 he replaced the air filter and in 2013 also and replaced battery in 2013.
Since I've had the car I've just changed oil and oil filter regularly and have changed the tires. I know I need to replace battery because it's 5 years old so that's one thing but here's my problems I've been dealing with:
About a month or 2 ago my back window windshield wipers stop working as well as my automatic locks. Now the auto locks button will work if car is started. Also about month ago my car took a couple seconds to start and finally would crank but if I ran it awhile and then turned off then on it was fine and would start up. After couple weeks with this problem it got worse and barely wanted to start just took couple seconds but ran fine. Now couple days ago when I started it when I put it into drive it will just start bogging down or sputtering and don't seem like it wants to go or get out of first gear but I also stop driving it as soon as that happen so I don't know if it will switch gears or not just didn't want to risk running it and screw something up. So if anybody has any ideas or suggestions it would help a lot thank you for reading and hope u have a great day.
P.S.- should I start with changing my spark plugs plus it probably needs it since it's been 8 years and I had a Nissan before this and had to fix everything on it and hated that car but it bogged down after bout 5 or 6 years and I took out the catalytic converter and it ran fine after that didn't know if this would be same issue or not and again thank u for your help
